continuing the idea of music inspired art, finding the rhythms, lines and shapes in making art, we talked about Kandinsky. By using watercolor and salt the kids created beautiful backgrounds for their lines and shapes. The process was the best part, but the paintings are pretty interesting .
The kids learned about the reaction salt has on water, and they were fascinated by the way it is absorbed. I think they could have added watercolor by using these droppers all day, it was definitely meditative.....
