It is amazing that kids can make decisions about their art with such commitment. When planning what colors the kids wanted to use to paint their clay heads, they thought for a moment, picked their colors and off they went....full speed ahead. They finished their sketches, chose their palettes and began painting the clay....I help with things like brush size, and explain why it may be better to use a certain tool, but the ArtMaking comes naturally. It really does....
My hope for our children is that no one changes that for them...that they will trust their sense of style forever and continue their unique path of creativity that they are born with. I hope that no one will have enough power over them to convince them that they are wrong when they Create!!
